At Avolve, we continue to expand our strategic partnerships to better serve our clients and their communities. One of our newest collaborations is with Tyler Technologies, North America's largest vendor focused exclusively on public sector software and services and the provider of Enterprise Permitting & Licensing Software.

“Our strategic partnership with Tyler has been a collaborative process, as we have been working hand-in-hand on the integration between our market-leading technologies. Our mutual customers will benefit from a tight-knit, seamless experience when it comes to permitting and plan review that will enhance the community development experience for applicants and government staff,” said Derek Porter, SVP Business Development at Avolve.

Tyler's Market Leadership

Tyler Technologies is a powerhouse in the public sector technology space, offering a comprehensive suite of solutions from financial management to civic services for government organizations and schools. Across their suite of offerings, Tyler enables customers with transparency, accessibility, sustainable office practices, and secure data that’s easy to manage.

Tyler’s broad civic perspective enables the company to address the interconnected needs of government agencies to support vibrant communities, making them fully aligned to Avolve’s vision and culture.

On the community development side, their permitting system, Enterprise Permitting & Licensing, formerly known as EnerGov, serves a vast customer base across North America.

“Our clients trust us to bring them the very best technology for permitting and licensing, while ensuring that their citizen services are fully optimized. This was at the core of our decision to partner with Avolve. Their rounded, best-in-class plan review and forward-looking roadmap showed that they matched us in our commitment to our clients. We are excited to show the benefits of Enterprise Permitting & Licensing and Avolve together,” said Greg Savard, General Manager, Civic Services, Tyler Technologies.

A Collaborative Partnership Model

Our new partnership with Tyler allows us to take a comprehensive approach with our shared clients. Rather than focusing solely on software integration, our collaboration with Tyler encompasses a holistic alignment across the organization, including professional services and support functions.

“We’re not partnering with Tyler simply from a technical integration perspective,” Porter explained. “Rather, it's a strategic alignment of two organizations committed to advancing public sector technology and service delivery. We want to ensure that all joint customers have a seamless experience and benefit from both the deep integration, as well as coordinated customer success and support.”

Tyler Connect

Avolve was proud to be a sponsor at the Tyler Connect user conference this past May. There, we connected with forward-thinking public sector professionals and celebrated the official launch of the integration between Tyler’s Enterprise Permitting & Licensing Software and Avolve’s DigEplan, which will soon be available in an upcoming release of Enterprise Permitting & Licensing.

We also shared exciting new innovations coming to Avolve’s product suite this year. Notably, Avolve has introduced four capabilities that transform electronic plan review for smoother reviews, faster approvals, and expedited permits:

  1. Avolve GIS: An Esri ArcGIS integration that brings spatial intelligence directly into the review workflow.
  2. Avolve AI Submit: AI-powered submission checks that catch errors before plans reach reviewers.
  3. Avolve Mobile: Mobile access that extends plan review to the field with offline capabilities.
  4. Avolve Insights: Enhanced analytics that provide permit-focused insights for data-driven decision making.

These innovations work seamlessly within DigEplan and ProjectDox to accelerate permit approvals, improve code compliance, and deliver a superior experience for both staff and applicants.

Continued Success to Come

With the launch of our new integration, we anticipate significant opportunities to enhance the electronic plan review experience for government organizations across North America. The combination of Tyler’s extensive public sector expertise and Avolve’s specialized electronic plan review solutions create a powerful foundation of interoperability to ensure modern cities, counties and states can deliver for their citizens.
