Avolve Inspire 2026: Elevating Plan Review with AI and Collaboration

By Avolve Software | June 11, 2026

Jurisdictions are under increasing pressure to deliver faster, more transparent, and more connected services—and plan review is right at the center of that shift. In April, the Avolve community came together in Park City, Utah for Inspire 2026, where the conversation centered on how jurisdictions are actively modernizing plan review to meet rising expectations for speed, transparency, and efficiency. Across customers, partners, and industry leaders, there was a clear focus on moving beyond incremental improvements and toward more connected, data-driven ways of working that deliver measurable impact.

The focus on real-world applications started early in the pre-conference workshops, where attendees spent timeAvolve-154 working directly in the platforms and applying what they were learning to real scenarios. These technical sessions went deeper than overview or introduction, giving users the opportunity to build familiarity, explore functionality in context, and walk through scenarios they could take back to their own teams.

Opening Day Highlights

The opening session with Becky Tamashasky (CEO), Ben Cook (CTO), and Jeremy Raulinaitis (EVP of Customershared image (10) Success) set the tone for the week, focusing on innovation, technology direction, and customer success. As Becky’s first Inspire as CEO, she focused on innovation, execution, and staying closely aligned with customer needs as the company continues to evolve. Ben highlighted Avolve’s continued investment in human-centered AI, GIS enhancements built on Esri’s ArcGIS, and expanded mobility and analytics capabilities to reinforce how the platform is evolving to support more connected, data-driven workflows. Jeremy spoke to the expansion and focus of the Customer Success team, underscoring Avolve’s commitment to helping customers drive value beyond implementation and achieve long-term outcomes.

Our keynote speaker this year, Alison Levine, mountaineer and expedition leader of the first American Women’s Everest team to summit Mount Everest, added a powerful perspective on leadership, resilience, and performance under pressure, noting that failure is not a definition of ability, but a source of data that informs better decisions and ultimately drives progress.

Customer and Partner Sessions, Exhibits Complement Trainings

Collaboration across the ecosystem also played a central role, with Avolve teams and partners aligning on howshared image (8) shared solutions continue to evolve to meet the needs of modern jurisdictions and the full plan review lifecycle. Sessions led by partners like Microsoft, Esri, Tyler Technologies, GovPath, International Code Council, KCI Technologies, Trimble, and True North Consulting Group highlighted how integrated technologies are expanding what’s possible across the review process. The Expo floor brought attendees and partners together for conversations that extended beyond the sessions, creating space to connect, ask questions, and have meaningful conversations.

Across customer-led sessions, those ideas came to life through real examples of modernization. Jurisdictions including Homestead, Florida; Prince George's County, Maryland; Salt Lake City, Utah; and Santa Barbara, California shared how they are streamlining workflows, improving coordination, and driving measurable efficiency gains through digital transformation.

Avolve Celebrates 20 Years of Innovation at Customer Awards Dinner

shared image (12) The Awards Dinner brought everyone together to recognize milestones and celebrate impact. We honored jurisdictions marking long-term anniversaries with Avolve and, in celebration of Avolve’s 20th Anniversary, presented the Inspire Awards recognizing long-standing partnership, advocacy, community impact, and sustained engagement. The dinner closed with a dueling piano performance that quickly became one of the most talked-about moments of the event.

Looking Ahead

Avolve-29-1 Inspire 2026 reflected a broader shift already underway in plan review, where progress is being shaped in real time through the work happening across jurisdictions, partners, and teams. The conversations throughout the week highlighted not only where the industry is headed, but also the work already underway to get there. From AI and GIS-enabled workflows to mobility, analytics, and customer success, attendees explored ideas and innovations that will continue to evolve over the coming year as organizations put them into practice and build on what they learned.

In Park City, the conference was as much about the content and sessions as it was about the conversations they sparked and the time spent together throughout the week.

Thank you to everyone who joined us in Park City for Inspire 2026. We look forward to continuing these conversations throughout the year, following the progress they inspire, and seeing how the ideas shared take shape in the months ahead. We can’t wait for Inspire 2027!
